Sigma Retail Partners are fully committed to protecting the environment and have signed up to the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland’s Sustainability Declaration.

Climate change is one of the greatest threats of our time and has far reaching implications for the real estate industry and all our futures. We at Sigma Retail Partners are committed to reducing our carbon footprint, optimise energy and water efficiency, reduce waste and incorporate biodiversity.

We are aware how business activities impact upon the environment we live in and we proactively ensure that our activities will have the least possible detrimental effect on the environment.

Together with our property management and centre management teams, we have implemented sustainability initiatives all across our 14 retail parks and shopping centres in areas such as energy, water, waste, carbon emission and biodiversity, which are regularly reviewed to design ways in which these initiatives can be constantly improved.

We have been rolling out the installation of energy-efficient LED lighting in our car parks and common areas, the installation of electric vehicle charging points into a number of our locations, harvested rainwater for work such as watering plants and power hosing, bike parking, introduced recycling programmes that have reached 100% no-waste targets, created bug hotels and included pollination plants to encourage biodiversity.
