Mayor of Waterford opens new Currys PC World store in Waterford Retail Park

Currys PC World has just opened a brand new store in Waterford Retail Park on the Outer Ring Road. The turnout on the opening day was overwhelming with the Mayor of Waterford Councillor Declan Doocey cutting the ribbon for the new store opening. The new store received positive feedback from local residents who are thrilled to see a new state-of-the-art Currys PC World store so close by. The new store takes up a floor area of approximately 13,000 sq. ft and it joins other big-name retailers in the retail park that include anchor tenant Harvey Norman, Homestore & More, Halfords, Home Focus, EZ Living Interiors and Maxi Zoo. This year is also very special for Waterford Retail Park as it celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2018.

A very well-established brand, Currys PC World is an electrical retailer with many stores operating in the Republic of Ireland and specialises in home electronics and household appliances. It is one of Ireland’s largest supplier of mixed electrical goods.

Jenna Culligan from Sigma Retail Partners, the asset managers for Waterford Retail Park, said “We are delighted that Currys PC World has joined our strong tenant line-up in the retail park. As everyone knows they are one of the biggest electrical stores in Ireland. We have Currys PC World in some of our other retail parks and we are very happy to now also have them in Waterford Retail Park.”

Waterford Retail Park is easily accessed from Waterford City and is less than a 10 minutes’ drive away. The retail park is located along one of the main access routes to Waterford City from the M8 and N25 (Cork Road). The retail park benefits from free customer parking too.
