Sligo Retail Park is proud to contribute to the enhancement of our local community

As part of our commitment to social responsibility, Sligo Retail Park is proud to contribute to the enhancement and betterment of our local community, and our latest worthy causes are Active Retirement Ireland and Irish Olympian Christopher O’Donnell who won our ‘Sligo Local Hero’ competition.

Active Retirement Ireland is a voluntary organisation for older people with a national membership of over 24,500 people in Ireland and over 550 local associations. Members range in age from 50 to more than 100 years old and cover a range of socio-economic backgrounds. As an organisation, Active Retirement Ireland believes that all older people are equal and are entitled to be treated with respect. The organisation is run by voluntary committees at local, regional, and national level and has approximately 4,200 volunteers.

North Sligo Athletic Club’s Christopher O'Donnell is a track and field athlete competing in sprinting events. He represented Ireland at the Olympics and has recently qualified for the Semi Finals in the World Championships in July.

We are incredibly happy to give our support to Active Retirement Ireland and Christopher O’Donnell to continue their excellent work in what they do and making Ireland proud.
